As part of its community outreach program, over 25 staff members from Jovia Financial Credit Union recently volunteered to paint three homes of Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County (CP Nassau) in Seaford, Wantagh and Freeport. This day of service made a meaningful impact in the lives of adults and children with developmental disabilities and differing abilities. The goal of the effort was to create a vibrant and welcoming home environment that uplifts and brightens the residents' spirits.

“Through our community outreach program, Jovia is committed to assisting non-profit organizations and individuals where this is a need. We’ve had a long-standing relationship with CP Nassau and our staff members rose to the occasion and spent hours painting and making improvements to three residential homes,” commented Peter Purpura, Vice President, Business Development at Jovia Financial Credit Union.

“CP Nassau is so grateful to the enthusiastic team from Jovia who traveled to three of the residences we operate in Nassau County to paint and spruce things up for the individuals with disabilities who live there and the staff that assists them. Jovia’s philosophy of working to make things brighter certainly succeeded with this project! Not only are the walls of our home brightened up, the smiles and appreciation of all at CP Nassau could light up a room! The generosity and caring spirit of the Jovia team continues to impress us and helps us carry out our mission at the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau and we are so appreciative of everything,” said Karen Geller-Hittleman, Executive Director of CP Nassau.

“Giving back is an important part of our mission at Jovia, and a majority of our staff live and raise their families on Long Island. This was a very fulfilling day for everyone who participated,” added Purpura.
