Reverse Mortgage Options∆

A reverse mortgage works by allowing homeowners age 62 and older to borrow from their home's equity without having to make monthly mortgage payments. The borrower may choose to take funds in a lump sum, line of credit or via structured monthly payments.

If I apply, where will the mortgage closing take place?

All mortgage loans will be scheduled to close in our attorney’s office in Mineola or at our Commack branch in Suffolk County.

If you need to close in another location, please have your attorney contact our attorney’s office to coordinate the location. Please note, our attorney may charge a travel fee for any loan that closes outside of these two offices.

Does the credit union offer modifications on first mortgages?

What is your mortgage rate lock policy?

We offer a variety of lock options which include different lock periods, rate buy-downs and lender credits. Deciding what works best for you depends on various factors (e.g. When are you closing? Do you need money for your closing costs?)
