We foster an environment of trust and collaboration where agile thinking, and a flexible workspace are valued. As a company, we believe in achieving success by developing our people and providing them with opportunities so they may grow and thrive.
Our employees make us who we are.
Your jovial life starts here.
At Jovia Financial Credit Union, we’re more than just a financial institution, we’re a team! Our work goes beyond financial services. We’re a community centric credit union with a mission in which you can take pride.
Our purpose is focused on empowering people to lead better lives. And, that starts with our employees. It could start with you!
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion
Culture of Diversity & Inclusion
At Jovia, we want you to bring your authentic self to work. Success only happens when all individuals are respected, all voices are heard, and all employees have the support and resources necessary to thrive as professionals and people. We’re committed to building, protecting, and supporting an inclusive environment that welcomes all and offers equal opportunities for success.
Recognized by the Long Island Business News (LIBN) for our efforts to foster an inclusive workplace for employees from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds, we put our people first. Which is why, in 2021, we launched our company’s first DE&I Committee, comprised of employees who play a critical role in collaborating with the executive team and internal staff. We allow our individuality to empower us and then work together to form proactive strategies, programs, and initiatives that shift perspectives and enrich the lives of our employees, partners, members, and communities we serve.
Most recently, Jovia's DE&I Committee was honored to be selected by LIBN as a recipient of their 2023 Diversity in Business Commitment to Opportunity Award.

Jovia in the community

Our Educational Development Officer and the Commerce Plaza team partnered to host students from the Viscardi Center's "Abilities" program. Students participated in various occupational simulations during the day, ending with a financial literacy lesson on "spending wisely" while enjoying some pizza 😊

Jovia’s HR team hosted ACLD’s Prevocational Program participants for mock interviews and training in our Westbury headquarters. This program helps develop skills and capabilities that employers are currently looking for so participants can easily transition to a job and learn the specific position in training or in a short time frame upon hire.

Jovia was the t-shirt sponsor and presenter of multiple financial literacy lessons at the 2nd annual My Brother's Keeper youth empowerment symposium held in Nassau County. Our two instructors emphasized the importance of controlling impulse purchases and setting long-term money-saving goals to the youth in attendance.

April's showers nourished our genuine smiles and positive vibes during the Safe Center's first 5K race. Although it was cold and rainy, we kept our commitment to support the Safe Center of Long Island in its mission to: "protect, assist and empower victims of family violence and sexual assault while challenging and changing social systems that tolerate and perpetuate abuse."

Jovia team members were on the scene strong and BRIGHT as we participated in the Best Buddies Friendship Walk in Massapequa to support inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We want to help impact and empower ALL members of our community.

Jovia was the presenting sponsor of Joy Fest 23, Celebrating Black Joy. We helped unite our community to commemorate Juneteenth, a significant milestone in American history. It was a celebration of Black culture and history, including a series of financial wellness micro lessons offered by our subject matter experts.

Jovia Financial Credit Union was the title sponsor of the Jovia Long Island Marathon, for the fifth consecutive year. We are passionate about bringing our communities together for some healthy competition. 12,500 people attended the weekend-long festivities.

In March, we hosted the bright youth and parents from Q.B. Generational Change in our Westbury headquarters after hours for a financial literacy workshop and private VIP demonstration of Curio, Jovia's exclusive app designed to make it easy for parents and guardians to teach kids about money.

Two of Jovia’s strong, smart, and bold women leaders took the time to help empower and educate the students of the Girls Inc of Long Island program. This was in partnership with the LI Nets. The topic was “Protecting Your Sensitive Financial Information.” Lessons were led by Diahann Ryan & Chaka Adams, along with Chris DiLeonardo.

Who says there is nothing free in life? Check out our coffee truck takeover. We were out in Brooklyn & Queens, welcoming our neighbors with complimentary coffee and donuts on a cold winter day!

Jovia team members volunteered for the annual Backpack Pirates festival. Team members took advantage of opportunities to volunteer as camp counselors, athletes, artists, timekeepers, and, more importantly- as friends and teammates to these bright young children.

The Jovia team walked and lit lanterns of yellow and red to show our love and support for those who have been impacted by blood cancer during the LLS “Light the Night” event.

Splish Splash and Jovia Financial Credit Union Co-Host a Carefree Day of Sun and Water Park Fun for Underserved and Health-Challenged Long Island Families.

Jovia’s Community Involvement Committee and the team had a blast packing the school supplies collected from our branches in partnership with the LI Nets and preparing for delivery to local Long Island schools in need.

The Jovia team with teachers, and students, to celebrate the complete return of the business and finance educational program at Commerce Plaza in Levittown since the pandemic.
