Can I pay extra to escrow to keep the payments the same as they were last year?

No, unfortunately your escrow payment will change every year. You can take steps to reduce your shortage.

1. Be aware of increases in your taxes and insurance. If you think you may have a shortage, you can make extra payments to your escrow account.
2. You can contact your taxing authority to find out options to lower your taxes.
3. You can contact your insurance agent to try and possibly negotiate a lower rate.
4. You can also switch insurance companies. If you switch companies, please contact us, so we can update our system.
