Jovia Financial Credit Union, one of New York’s largest credit unions and a Top 100 Credit Union in the United States, hosted its Nesconset branch grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony on April 25 at 235 Smithtown Boulevard, Nesconset, NY. This expansion furthers Jovia’s commitment to providing additional brick and motor banking services in Suffolk County. The branch will be staffed with five employees and will provide a full suite of banking services.

The program was led by John Deieso, President and CEO of Jovia Financial Credit Union, who spoke of Jovia’s commitment to its members and the credit union’s enthusiasm for opening its furthest-east branch on Long Island. Remarks were made by Town of Smithtown Supervisor Edward Wehrheim; Suffolk County Clerk Vincent Puleo; Senior New York State Senator Mario Mattera Senior Advisor, Tom McLaughlin; and Nesconset Chamber of Commerce President Rachel D’Arpa. Also in attendance were Town of Smithtown Councilman Thomas Lohmann, as well as representatives from the offices of Suffolk County Legislator Leslie Kennedy and New York State Assemblyman Michael J. Fitzpatrick.

“Opening a Jovia branch in Nesconset has been part of our strategic plan for the past two years. We are eager to start serving new and existing members within the Nesconset and Smithtown communities. At Jovia, we are committed to meeting the banking needs of all our members, and our Nesconset team will be active in the community supporting local non-profit organizations and financial education initiatives,” stated Nina Smith, Chief Operations Officer of Jovia Financial Credit Union.

Jovia offers a winning combination of financial strength, convenience and a personalized touch, providing all the products of a big bank yet with better rates, lower fees and white glove service.

“I am personally invested in creating relationships within the Nesconset community. This is an exciting time for Jovia and we’re anxious to meet our new neighbors,” commented Amanda Smith, Branch Manager of the Jovia Financial Credit Union Nesconset branch. “Nesconset is flourishing as businesses are opening within the area and residential developments are being constructed. We’re opening our doors for new members to come see what banking on the bright side is all about with Jovia.”

The 2,000-square-foot space was built to suit and includes four ATM/ITMs and a drive-through for member convenience, as well as a coin machine. In-person service appointments are welcomed and notary services are available.
