Jovia Financial Credit Union employees joined with hundreds of other runners on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at The Safe Center LI in Bethpage, NY for the first annual in-person TSCLI 5k Run. Despite the rain pouring down, spirits were up as runners splashed through puddles toward the finish line amidst the cheering crowd.
The event featured a Refreshment Station sponsored by Jovia where 15 Jovia volunteers greeted attendees, an arts & crafts table for families, a raffle drawing with amazing prizes and an awards ceremony where trophies were awarded to runners with the fastest times in their age brackets.
Everyone felt like a winner knowing that the event raised much-needed funds for TSCLI whose mission is to protect, assist and empower victims of family violence and sexual assault while challenging and changing social systems that tolerate and perpetuate abuse.
