Jovia Financial Credit Union’s commitment to the communities we serve runs deep, and our collective goal as an organization is to make a lasting impact. That’s the driving force behind our outreach, engagements in charitable initiatives, youth mentorship, educational programs, partnerships, and volunteer work we carry out each year. In recognition of that hard work, and most notably for our Curio app that provides families with a financial tool to help young members make smart financial decisions, Jovia Financial Credit Union was chosen as the recipient of the Credit Union Times 2023 LUMINARIES Award for Community Impact. This award shines a spotlight on the companies and individuals that strive to push their members’ best interests forward while having the biggest impact. It is our distinct honor to have been selected to receive this award by the credit union industry’s premier media source and fellow credit unions from throughout the United States.
“In the wake of having received the Long Island Business News Corporate Citizen of the Year Award, this latest recognition from the Credit Union Times further validates the difference we’re making in our communities and fuels our desire to continue that work,” said John Deieso, President and CEO, Jovia Financial Credit Union. “I’ve always felt that organizations such as ourselves have a responsibility to set an example in putting the economic and social well-being of the people in our communities first, and I’m proud to say that our employees help us do just that each and every day,” he added.
Trish Graffigino, Assistant Vice President of Marketing, accepted the Community Impact Award on behalf of Jovia at the Credit Union Times LUMINARIES Awards Dinner held in Orlando, Florida on November 9th. Jovia congratulates our fellow honorees who were recognized for their contributions to product innovation, technology, executive leadership, and community impact.
