College Student Scholarship

Opportunities for Undergrad & Graduate Students

Application Period: January 15 – April 15

Jovia’s College Student Scholarship Program awards a $3,000 scholarship to selected undergraduate and graduate students. Enrolled and attending an accredited community college, college, university, or a graduate program is required for eligibility.

The submission period for applications ends April 15th.

Application Requirements:

  • Completed essay on assigned topic (included on the application below). Essays must be 500 words or less on the assigned essay topic. Your name should not be included in the essay.
  • Current unofficial school transcript (student must have a minimum GPA of 3.5). This must include grades/GPA, school name, and student’s name.
  • Resume

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Student applicant must be a Jovia Financial Credit Union member to be an eligible applicant.
    Not a member yet? You can open your account with a simple $5 deposit online, in a branch, or over the phone at 1-855-JOVIA4U.
  • All applicants must be currently enrolled and attending college.
  • Student must have a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Additional Notes:

Only one College Scholarship is awarded per student. Members who are awarded this scholarship are not eligible to apply for and receive the College Scholarship in the future. Winners will be announced 6–8 weeks following the application deadline. Scholarships are a one-time award. Scholarship money will be awarded in the form of a direct deposit into your account.

To apply for this scholarship you must prepare an essay and upload it along wtih your supporting documentation. Your name should not be included on your essay since winners are chosen anonymously.

By submitting an application, you further release Jovia Financial Credit Union from any responsibility or liability for damages, losses, or injury resulting from acceptance, or use of grant, in the event you are selected as a winner. In addition, you also grant Jovia Financial Credit Union permission to use and advertise your name and picture as a winner without additional compensation. All application materials must be submitted electronically. Only one scholarship award per student. Upon selection, winners will be requested to submit an official transcript to receive their award. Please note: Jovia Financial Credit Union employees, family members, and its affiliates are not permitted to apply for Jovia Financial Credit Union scholarships.
